Background:
Convenience stores occasionally sell hot dogs from a heated glass enclosure with a conveyor belt-like mechanism inside that rotates the hot dogs and moves them closer/farther from a heat lamp (Fig 1).

The Issue:
Unrelatedly, people often find it hard to get to a comfortable temperature when sleeping at night: it often feels like sleeping under a blanket is too hot, but removing the blanket is too cold.
If only there were some way to combine these two concepts to create a new and more comfortable way for people to sleep!
Proposal:
The solution is obvious: adapt the hot dog conveyor belt system to hold a full-sized bed (Figure 2)! With this system, the bed will move up and down on a track, alternately getting closer to a space heater (attached to the ceiling) and a fan (sitting on the floor).

Although it is not shown in this figure, it’s also possible to imagine a bunk-bed-like or dorm-room-like situation, where multiple beds are all set up on the same track (just as the hot dog heater can accommodate multiple hot dogs).
This could be of particular interest in college dorms and military barracks.
Conclusion:
This will finally make it possible for people to easily maintain the right temperature when sleeping.
PROS: Should allow people to get a better night’s sleep, which will increase their productivity at work and help CAPITALISM.
CONS: Falling out of bed might become somewhat more deadly.
